Admissions to The Waterside Primary Academy
The Waterside Primary Academy is a 3-11 Academy whose core purpose will be to ensure that learning, progress and achievement is outstanding and that aspirations are high for every individual pupil.

- 30 for pupils in Year R (Reception)

For admission to our nursery provision, parents should contact the Trust to apply for a place by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
For admission to primary reception, in the year preceding admissions, Nottinghamshire Local Authority will process applications outside the normal local authority process for co-ordinating school offers.
This means you will need to complete your LA common application form for your other choices of school in addition to a separate application for this school.
For admission in September 2024, these forms should be returned by 15 January 2024 for primary Reception.

All applicants refused a place have a right of appeal to an independent appeal panel constituted and operated in accordance with the School Admission Appeals Code.
For applications made on time for a place in the Intake Reception year, appeals should be made within twenty (20) school days, by Friday 17 May 2024.
For any in-year admissions, appeals should be made, in writing, within twenty (20) school days of the date of refusal.

Please be aware that the regulations under Section I of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 limit the size of an infant class (a class in which the majority of children will reach the age of 5, 6 or 7 during the school year) to 30 pupils per class teacher. Admissions over this limit are only permitted in very limited circumstances.
